It is reported that Taiwan-based LED packaging house Unity Opto Technology has landed US$10 million worth of orders for LED lighting products from a client in Europe with shipments to begin in the third quarter. The company's total shipments of LED lighting products are expected to top NT$2 billion (US$69.2 million) in 2011.
The figure is so huge that it is interesting to explore the invisible power that drives the great demanding of LED lighting products. The sales from LED lighting products accounted for 30% of total revenues in June and is expected to exceed 30% in July, among which the demand for LED backlight products would be reincreased in August.
